ACTIVITIES

This journey begins in San Jose, Costa Rica, where you will meet our excellent local and Bodega-based guides and begin to learn everything you want to know about Costa Rican culture and wildlife.

Among the many options for exploration is Tortuguero National Park. Here you can take in the beauty of a lowland rainforest and all of the creatures that call it home. Try to keep count of the incredible diversity of birds and go on a night hike in search of frogs and toads.

Check out the Arenal volcano and have the chance to soak in volcano-heated hot springs. You can also tour the Butterfly Garden of Monteverde and go on a crocodile safari in Carara National Park.

Visit the Cloud Forest where the group can take on the Skywalk, a series of bridges through the forest canopy. If that's not enough then wait for the Skytrek. Your chance to try over eleven different ziplines through the trees. Hold on tight!

There are many nature hikes that offer a wealth of opportunities to see the rich and diverse wildlife of Costa Rica. When not hiking through the forest there will be time to explore the beaches and play in the warm and friendly ocean waves of the Caribbean Sea or Pacific Ocean.

This trip is very flexible by nature, and the length and level of activity will be geared to suit the ages in your group. Because of the travel time, a minimun of 8 days is neceesary to really explore the country, but 12 days or even more are not too long.
